Howdy

I own a Magellan I was a tried and true Magellan user, when they started
out they were the best. Due to company changes and bad manufacturing
Magellan is not what is once was.. Garmin has been on the front line so
to speak. The Bosina conflic and the Operation desert storm put Etrex on
the must own list..Garmin now has a very good working relationship with
Groundspeak and it's largest base of customers.... Ask any pilot what
brand they use...

I have a Garmin that was given to me as I would not buy one, but if you
were to spend the money yes...

The Triton is a decent unit but it is like a VW in a Ferrari world....
