True, which is why I carry a bunch of AA batteries, however, anyone know of a solar powered charger?

 Land navigation skills, learn em and love em.. Then live em..

 I teach it every January to Search and Rescue for a reason because I think your battery supply running out is more likely to be the issue then abducted and thrown out of a plane.

But what happens when you get dropped out of the back of a plane in the middle of nowhere with your GPS (but it has to be somewhere in North America, because you don't have the maps on your GPS for anywhere else).  You're really gonna wish you had all those maps so you know just how far it's gonna be to civilization... 'cause you know, that just happened to me last week.
