Well we've been back from Tucson for a couple of days and we're catching up with stuff at home. Just wanted to thank David (Cow Spots) for the bookmark list of caches. First 2 that we found were Silny caches, Sand Trout and Our Founder... . They were a hoot. Loved them. Then we hiked in Sabino Canyon where we found Sabino Canyon Cache and Best Dam View. Sabino is a beautiful place, a couple of days later on our 2nd hike in the canyon I did a short detour off the main trail onto Rattlesnake Trail, I was by a stream and looked up towards the rock cliff when I spotted a ringtail cat about 30 feet away dashing under a dead saguaro and some rocks. I was thrilled because I know how elusive they are. It was late afternoon just before dusk.
We also found 5 more including Cow Spots' tricky urban How can you have pudding... which was another elusive creature.
We had a great time and were really impressed with the caches we found. Tucsonans are very creative geocachers.

Here's a bookmark list I've compiled for the Tucson area for visitors. There are many many more available, but these are some of my favorite recommendations.

Hi,
We'll be in Tucson for a week arriving on March 15th.
Can you recommend caches in the area. We like caches
that are scenic, historic, a short hike (a mile or
less round trip), clever hides, interesting
containers. We also like to have a good place to park
in a safe area.
We plan on visiting Mt Lemmon (Summerhaven), the
Sabino Canyon, UofA and the Desert Museum.
