I have always gotten a kick out of the hoax people.  I did watch the Fox 
special a few years ago, but I watched it for it's entertainment value.

As for the pictures, I have seen a set that as close to original as 
possible.  They came from a Air Force captain that worked for NASA.  My gut 
tells me that some of them were "touched up" a bit, but that really 
shouldn't be much of a surprise.  NASA had a MAJOR investment in the Apollo 
missions.  If the pictures taken would have come back and were poor 
quality, then the people that controlled the money might be tempted to cut 
things back a lot.  While I have never believed that anything was faked, I 
would not be surprised if things were not "air brushed" a little to make 
them a little more appealing to the eye.  Heck, how many high school 
students haven't had their senior pictures air brushed a little. :-)
