He brought whatever happened in the forums on himself though. Through posting via emotion and not rational thought (threatening physical harm to another cacher for a difference of opinion? - the mysterious deleted thread). When things didn't go his way, it looked as though he was just blowing his lid and venting whatever was on his mind without formulating a response that would be taken by others in a more positive manner. The hostility was met with hostility. Oh, and that virtual which was denied was regarding a roadside sign on Hwy 93 (I believe). It was widely known that virtual caches were going to be denied until something could be determined with regards to their future within geocaching, such as creating a separate area like benchmarks.

The thread became increasingly hostile toward admins and others who thought a micro could go there in place of it.

Here it is:

The same thing happened several months ago when he made his initial withdrawl from geocaching.

He had a poll about a virtual cache of his that apparently was getting a bit nasty. He said the cache approver told him that if he didn't like the fact that his virtual was not going to be approved, then he could just leave. Supposedly that is what he did. He posted his caches on navicache yesterday but has since pulled those as well and says he is quitting geocaching. That is basically what he posted in his grand farewell thread before he deleted it this morning. I wonder if he has some personal issues going on at the moment that may account for a bit of stress in his life and the way he reacted.

<DIV>Yesterday he&nbsp;said that he was harassed in the forums. One thread disappeared. Maybe it had to do with him, and maybe not. He posted his caches on navicache yesterday but has since pulled those as well and says he is quitting geocaching.
